Personal Essay Workshop
Saturday, January 25th, 2025 1PM-4pm via Zoom In this workshop you’ll learn how to take personal experiences and use them to reflect on and/or argue a larger point. We’ll discuss a selection of personal essays to see what works. We’ll talk about the advantages of a personal essay over a reported piece and what lengths work best for different purposes. We’ll also discuss how to pitch an idea. Zoom link and reading will be sent out a week beforehand. $225 course fee (EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT. $275 after January 1, 2025) |

How to Write a Book Proposal Saturday, Feb 8th, 2025 1PM-4PM via Zoom It’s one thing to have a book idea, it’s something else altogether to write a book proposal. This workshop will go over the basics of a book proposal. What is the purpose of a book proposal? What to include and what not to include. How to break it down.
