I've written for The New York Times, The Guardian, The Cut, New York Daily News, Town & Country, The Daily Beast, GEN, and ELLE, among others. I started out as a media and politics reporter (for HuffPo, and later Business Insider, and once covered the 2008 conventions for Playboy).
In addition to my memoir, I authored Becoming a Baker, part of Simon & Schuster's 'Masters at Work' series. I also co-wrote HelloFlo: The Guide, PERIOD.: The Everything Puberty Book for the Modern Girl (Dutton, 2017), with HelloFlo founder Naama Bloom. With Rachel Sklar, I co-edited and contributed to the best-selling Amazon Kindle essay collection The 10 Habits of Highly Successful Women. I've also contributed to numerous collections.
In 2012, I co-founded TheList with Rachel Sklar. TheList was acquired in 2020.
